Bereits drei Mal hatte ich das Vergnügen, mit Giorgi zu reisen und ich kann sagen, dass ich jede Minute genossen haben. Die Routen wurden individuell geplant und unseren Interessen angepasst. Giorgi ist alles, was man sich von einem guten Guide erwartet: nett und sympathisch, verlässlich, pünktlich, flexibel, geduldig und belastbar ... letzteres bewies er, als er eine Woche lang mit mir und vier weiteren schnatternden Mädels unterwegs war :). Eine Reise mit ihm kann ich aus tiefster Überzeugung empfehlen, zumal er nicht nur jede Ecke von Georgien kennt, sondern auch Einblicke in die Kultur und Geschichte gibt . Für ihn ist es nicht einfach nur ein Job, seinen Gästen die Vielseitigkeit und Schönheit seines Landes zu zeigen, sondern eine Herzenssache. Wohler kann man sich kaum fühlen. Giorgi spricht perfekt deutsch, kennt das Land und seine Geschichte. Auf ihn ist einfach Verlass. Er ist ein sehr authentischer und angenehmer Guide auf den man sich zu 1000 Prozent verlassen kann. Dankbar für die wunderschöne Zeit in diesem spannenden Land. Wir haben das kleine und so vielfältige Land schon 2x mit Giorgi erkundet. Er spricht gut deutsch. Alles klappte bestens! Zuerst machten wir in kleiner Gruppe eine Kulturreise von Tbilisi über Swanetien, dem Land der Wehrtürme und schneebedeckten Berge, bis ans Schwarze Meer. Giorgis Stadtführungen sind kenntnisreich und unterhaltsam. Stärken konnten wir uns unterwegs in familiengeführten Lokalen mit ausgezeichneter georgischen Küche. Es waren abwechslungsreiche, unvergessliche Eindrücke! Die 2. Reise war eine Trekkingtour. Giorgi holte einen ortsansässigen Bergführer hinzu, mit dem wir in die eisbedeckte Gipfelregion der Laila, eines 4000ers, aufstiegen. Wir sind zufällig und auf Umwegen auf das Unternehmen mit Giorgi in Georgien gestoßen. Er konnte unsere sehr individuellen Reisewünsche per Fahrrad auch in den Osten dieses wunderschönen Reiselandes zwischen Schwarzem Meer und Aserbaidschan umsetzen. Zwischenzeitlich haben wir zwei sehr bemerkenswerte Reisen mit ihm unternommen: eine wunderschöne Fahrradtour durchs Weinland Kachetien und den Kleinen Kaukasus bis Batumi sowie eine Kombitour Fahrrad, Wandern und Auto über Gori, Hoher Kaukasus nach Adcharien. Oft war es abenteuerlich, dank hervorragender Organisation nie gefährlich. Wir haben viele freundliche, offene, interessierte Menschen nicht nur in den Bergdörfern kennengelernt. Die georgische Küche ist legendär gut, die Landschaften herrlich/traumhaft, das Wetter im Mai, Juni, Juli und September sehr angenehm (August zu heiß). We are offering a 14-day photography tour in Georgia in October, which is an important part of our offers for photo tours in Georgia and is specially designed to capture the beautiful and colourful autumn images of the Georgian mountain regions. In the Greater and Lesser Caucasus, we will explore the regions of Stepantsminda , Svaneti, Racha and the Kura Valley in southern Georgia. We will also cover some of the best photography destinations in Georgia.
Since it can get quite cold in these regions in autumn, we recommend that our guests bring warm clothing, rain jackets and waterproof shoes. The trip is led by an experienced photographer who knows exactly where, what and when to take pictures. Even if you are a beginner and not yet familiar with your camera, our guide will be happy to help you.
Note: The trip can also be booked as an individual trip with or without a guide as a self-driver. Our team will be happy to help you plan and execute the trip.
The trip is led by Giorgi Liaprteliani, a talented photographer and English-speaking tour guide in Georgia. Giorgi is an excellent photographer and winner of several photography competitions.
Upon arrival and transfer to the hotel, our guests will have time to rest and relax. The next morning, there will be a late breakfast before we set off on a city tour of Tbilisi / Tbilisi.
This tour takes about 3-4 hours and takes us to the most important sights in the old town, with plenty of time to take photos.
The afternoon is free to explore the city further or to rest at the hotel. In the evening, we will organise a delicious dinner at an authentic Georgian restaurant.

Our photography tour in Georgia begins with a drive to Stepantsminda. On the way, we will stop to take pictures of two impressive sights: the 12th-century Svetitskhoveli Cathedral and the 7th-century Jvari Church.
Afterwards, we will continue our journey north to Stepantsminda on the famous Georgian Military Road. On the way, we will stop at interesting places such as Ananuri Castle, Jinvali Dam, the ‘Arch of Friendship’ and other attractions. We will reach our hotel in the evening.

Today we will spend the whole day in Stepantsminda and explore the beautiful surroundings of the city. If the weather permits, we will have the opportunity to experience the sunrise on Mount Kazbek.
To do this, we will get up at around 7:00 am and enjoy the picturesque view from the terrace of a cosy café. At 9:00 am we will have breakfast and make our way to the Gergeti Trinity Church.
We will be happy to organise a taxi for those who do not wish to walk. In the afternoon, we will continue our tour through the enchanting Truso Gorge, where we will spend the rest of the day before returning to the hotel in the evening.

Since many charming photo opportunities await us along our route, we will leave a little earlier and make our way to Kutaisi, the second largest city in Georgia, located in the west of the country.

The mountains of Svaneti are particularly spectacular in autumn. The magnificent, densely forested mountains present themselves in a wealth of colours and offer us numerous opportunities for photo stops.
Our destination today is the well-known Becho Valley just before Mestia, a popular destination for hikers from all over the world. Due to its scenic diversity, this valley is particularly attractive for a photo tour in Georgia.

The Shdugra waterfall, which flows directly from the Ushba glacier, is particularly impressive in autumn. That is why we have chosen this route to explore this natural beauty spot with our own cameras.
The route there is not too demanding, but for those who are not interested, we offer the opportunity to linger in the ‘Hikers Café’ and enjoy the magnificent mountain scenery.
In the afternoon we continue to Mestia and depending on the weather, we have the opportunity to photograph the sunset from Monte Zuruldi.

Beautiful scenes await us on our photography tour in Georgia on the way to Ushguli. First, we will visit the village of Tsvirmi at the Ughviri Pass and explore the surrounding area. It is one of the most beautiful villages in Svaneti.
Our main goal for today is Ushguli, the highest village in Europe. We will spend the whole day here and return to Mestia only in the late afternoon.

We will spend the whole day in Mestia, exploring the sights of this charming town. The Museum of Mestia and the natural beauty spots that we will discover on our short hikes will sweeten our day. The second half of the day is free and we will explore the town on our own.

Today we leave the mountains of the Greater Caucasus and drive to Borjomi, a very famous spa resort in southern Georgia, also in the Lesser Caucasus in the Samtskhe-Javakheti region. Since the route is quite long, we will take fewer pictures today.
We will arrive in Borjomi in the evening and after a restful break in our comfortable accommodation, we will take a short walk through the park, where we can taste the world-famous Borjomi mineral water.

Today we have a wonderful hike through the Borjomi-Kharagauli National Park on the programme of our photo tour through Georgia. We will visit the ruins of an old fortress and a chapel.
In the afternoon, we will take a short walk to the sulfur springs in the central park of Bordzhomi. Here we will have the opportunity to taste the famous mineral water of Bordzhomi.

Vardzia is a famous cave city from the 12th century in the south of Georgia. The route there leads along the Kura River and offers a unique landscape. The wild trees and shrubs in the valley create a variety of colours and provide extremely interesting photo opportunities.
The beautiful village of Saro is also on the programme today. We will arrive in Vardzia in the late afternoon and visit the impressive cave city.

During our photography tour in Georgia , we will take the opportunity to explore and photograph the old villages and settlements around Vardzia. During the day, we will also take short hikes to explore the picturesque surroundings of the Kura Valley.

The journey continues into the mountains of the Lesser Caucasus. The landscape here is somewhat different from what we have seen so far on our trip. The plateaus with volcanic mountains, as well as the lakes Paravani and Saghamo, make the trip extremely attractive. We will reach Tbilisi in the evening.
