The 20-day photo tour in Georgia – ‘Photo book from Georgia’ – was originally developed in 2020 as an exclusive travel programme for an amateur photographer from Germany. This tailor-made programme was adapted to the wishes and ideas of the guest and proved to be extremely interesting and successful. Therefore, we have decided to share it as a recommendation.
In contrast to our 14-day photo tour to Georgia, the 20-day photo tour ‘Photo book from Georgia’ offers you the opportunity to explore selected locations in detail and enjoy many fascinating photo experiences. Architecture, landscape, nature, people and much more are the focus of this trip. Depending on your individual wishes, we can of course adapt, shorten or extend the programme to meet the needs of our guests.
The programme includes exploring the following regions: Kakheti, South Georgia with the Javakheti National Park, Ajara with the Goderzi Pass and Stepantsminda.
Please note: this trip can also be booked as an individual tour with or without a tour guide as a self-driver. Our team will be happy to help you plan and execute your trip.
The trip is led by Giorgi Liaprteliani, a talented photographer and English-speaking tour guide in Georgia. Giorgi is an excellent photographer and winner of several photography competitions.
Our photo tour of Georgia begins with a drive through the steppes of Kakheti. On the way, we will pass Rustavi, an industrial city shaped by the Soviet era. There are many interesting photo opportunities here of Soviet-era buildings.
Afterwards, we will reach a unique steppe landscape whose hills shimmer in a wide range of earth tones and are therefore also known as the ‘Colourful Mountains’ or ‘Rainbow Mountains’. This impressive backdrop invites you to take pictures.
We continue with a visit to a medieval cave monastery where monks still live today. This cultural experience combines history and spirituality and offers further great photo opportunities. We will spend the night in the picturesque village of Udabno, which is located in the middle of the steppe and offers a unique atmosphere.
