Svaneti’s mountain landscape is of unparalleled beauty and diversity. It is home to the highest and most famous peaks in the entire Caucasus mountain range.
Mountains such as Ushba, Shkhara, Tetnuldi, Shdavleri and many others form a true paradise for mountaineers, hikers and landscape photographers. This region offers unforgettable experiences for nature lovers and those seeking adventure.

Our tour to Svaneti starts with a drive to Lentekhi. On the way, we make some interesting stops. We visit Gori, the birthplace of Joseph Stalin, and the ancient cave city of Uplistsikhe, which was built between the 4th and 6th centuries.
Uplistsikhe was once an important trading centre and a religious centre that played a major role in the political and social life of the Georgians. Although the site was severely damaged by earthquakes and the Mongols, the remains of the amphitheatre, the gladiatorial arena, the temples and the caves still exert a fascinating attraction on visitors today.
In Gori, we also have the opportunity to visit the Stalin Museum if interested. After a lunch break, we will continue our journey over the Rikoti Pass, which will take us via Kutaisi to Lentekhi, where we will spend the night.
Meals: Lunch, dinner
Accommodation: Lentekhi / in a family hotel
Today we will have a breathtaking drive along the river Tskhenistskali, which the locals call Lashkhuri. We will follow the river to the end of the valley at the foot of the Greater Caucasus. On this route, we will cross the Lasdili and Zagaro passes until we finally reach Ushguli. This route is very attractive for jeep tours in Georgia.
After a lunch break and exploring the UNESCO village, we continue to Mestia, the administrative centre of Upper Svaneti, where we will spend the night.
Meals: Breakfast, lunch, dinner
Accommodation: Mestia / in a family hotel
We will spend the whole day in Mestia exploring the well-known attractions of Svaneti, including the Mestia Museum and the house-museum of the famous mountaineer M. Khergiani. Afterwards, we will take the cable car to Zuruldi Mountain, where there is a cosy café, a highlight of the tour to svaneti
In the second half of the day, we will hike to the picturesque Chalaadi Glacier and return.
