Travel Programme

Overview

The hiking from Mestia to Ushguli, a classic route in Svaneti, usually takes 4 days and is the most famous hiking destination in Georgia. To make the tour more interesting, we have planned an extra day of hiking, which makes it possible to explore the beautiful Enguri Valley and visit the Shkhara Glacier.

Guests who do not wish to take advantage of this extra day are welcome to skip it and return to Mestia the same day.

Another option is to stay overnight in Ushguli on the fourth day, explore the village and return to Mestia the next day. We have designed the programme so that transfers to and from Mestia are included, making the tour a total of 7 days, divided into

– 2 transfer days

– 5 hiking days

Since Kutaisi is closer to Mestia, we recommend that our guests fly to Kutaisi and travel to Svaneti by car from there.

Please note: This tour can also be booked as an individual trip. Tips and information for hiking in Svaneti on your own can be found here.
