Overview

We would like to present you a very special tour that will inspire you: a fascinating Kazbek Climbing Tour. At an impressive 5,054 metres high, Kazbeg, also known as ‘Mkinvari’ or ‘Glacier’, is a popular destination for experienced mountaineers and those who love mountaineering as a hobby.

Every year, this impressive volcanic mountain with its beautiful, eternal ice fields in the Greater Caucasus in eastern Georgia attracts more and more adventurers. The difficulty level of this route corresponds to category B2, which means that it is suitable for anyone with a certain level of fitness.

Our guided tour lasts seven days, with two days planned for travel to and from Tbilisi and five days dedicated to climbing the mountain. Of course, we have also planned a reserve day so that you can set off completely relaxed.

To make your ascent as pleasant as possible, you will be accompanied by pack horses to the base camp. This way, our guests only have to carry a daypack.

We usually organise the necessary equipment locally, but you are welcome to bring your own if you prefer.

Note: Our trips can also be booked as   individual trips.

At a place called either ‘Khamaura’ or ‘noises,’ depending on where you know the name from, we equip ourselves and start walking on the glacier.

The name comes from the fact that there are frequent rockfalls there. The entire stage takes about 10–12 hours. We will be back at our camp in the late afternoon.
