Overview

Besides hiking  and  horse riding, MTB bike tour in Tusheti has become one of the most popular activities in Georgia for exploring the remote places of the Caucasus and experiencing the beauty of this region of Georgia. During our trip, we will pass through breathtaking valleys and delve deep into the history and traditions of Tusheti.

Overnight stays in local guesthouses will allow us to mingle with the locals and experience the authentic life of the Tusheti people. A support vehicle will accompany the group to transport our luggage and provide assistance in case of an emergency.

Itinerary

Day 1.Driving to Kakheti

Our MTB bike tour in Tusheti begins with a drive over the Gombori Pass to Kakheti. Once there, we will first explore the picturesque Pankisi Valley by bike and be enchanted by the natural beauty of this region.

Afterwards, we will be taken to the hospitable village of Alvani, where we will stay with a local family and prepare for our onward journey to Omalo.

Kakheti - Bike Tour in Tusheti

Day 2.Drive to the Abano Pass and descent

After breakfast, we leave for Tusheti and reach the highlight of our trip, the Abano Pass at an altitude of 2,900 metres, which is an important starting point for jeep tours in Georgia.

After a short ride in our off-road vehicles, we reach the pass and enjoy a breathtaking descent into the valley. On the way, we pass picturesque river landscapes and finally reach Omalo, where we will spend the night.

Day 3.Omalo - Dartlo - Girevi - Dartlo

Our adventurous Bike tour in Tusheti continues to Girevi at the end of the valley. After a break, we will continue to Dartlo, where we will spend the night. On the way, we will visit the historic towers of Parsma and Dartlo, which are known for their unique architecture and well-preserved houses.

Day 4.Dartlo – Jwarboseli

Day 5.Jwarboseli - Omalo

Day 6.Drive to the Abano Pass and descent

Our last stage takes us back to the Abano Pass, from where we experience a wonderful descent to the bridge over the Alazani River – highlight of the Bike Tour in Tusheti. From there we return to Akhmeta, where we spend the night.
