|| MTB-Ride at the Greater Caucasus

Programme

Overview

Our MTB – bike tour Svaneti and Racha takes you through a breathtaking region of Georgia. The three beautiful mountain regions at the foot of the Greater Caucasus in western Georgia – Svaneti, Lechkhumi and Racha – are characterised by their impressive landscape, unique cultural attractions, delicious cuisine and exquisite wines.

Svaneti is not only an attractive destination for cultural, photo, hiking and mountaineering tours, but also for mountain bikers.

Our 8-day MTB cycle tour of Svanetia and Racha takes us through all three regions and is aimed at experienced cyclists who want to venture onto gravel roads and mountain passes. During the entire tour, the group is supported by a support vehicle that transports our luggage to the next accommodation (if someone in the group finds a stretch too strenuous, they are welcome to cover it in the support vehicle).

Our accommodation is mainly in guesthouses, where we will be treated to delicious food and hot showers every day. The local cuisine of Svaneti and the famous wines of Racha and Lechkhumi will make our trip a pleasant and unforgettable experience.

We usually provide bicycles locally, but you are welcome to bring your own bike or at least pedals or a saddle, which we will be happy to fit for you.

Please note: This trip can also be booked as an individual trip.

Tour Guide

The tour is led by Giorgi Liaprteliani, an experienced cyclist and English-speaking tour guide in Georgia. With him, you will learn and experience many interesting things about Georgia.
