In the evening, we will enjoy a welcome dinner at an authentic Georgian restaurant.

We will take several breaks along the way before reaching the picturesquely situated village of Diklo in the evening. If you are interested, we offer a short drive or hike to the Diklo fortress in the evening, which is located directly on the Georgian-Russian border.
In our charming family hotel, we will enjoy delicious local cuisine and particularly aromatic herbal tea.

Today’s programme includes two impressive valleys that are also very attractive for mountain bikers in Tusheti. We start in Diklo and first ride via Omalo to the Pirikita Alazani valley. Here we visit the well-preserved, typically Caucasian village of Dartlo, which enchants with its fortified towers and historic buildings.
The valley extends further north to the village of Girevi, which we will also visit. In the village of Parsma, we will have the opportunity to admire the famous drawings on the towers.
In the afternoon, we return to Omalo and continue our jeep tour into Georgia to reach the village of Jvarboseli in another valley. Here we spend the night in a family hotel on the banks of the Alazani River. From our balcony, we have stunning views over the valley.

Ancient Bronze Age kurgans and paved trade routes add to the atmosphere and make the drive unforgettable. Near Tsalka we see the ruins of Avranlo Castle, an impressive example of megalithic culture.
In the Ktsia-Tabatskuri nature reserve, we have the opportunity to observe the life of nomadic families who live in the mountains with their herds during the summer. One of the most spectacular passes on our jeep tour in Georgia is undoubtedly the Zekari Pass, which lies between South and West Georgia and leads to the Imereti region. The route to the pass takes us through the well-known resort of Abastumani.
Abastumani has been a well-known high-altitude health resort with natron and sulphur thermal springs since the 19th century. Because of the exceptionally clear air and warm water, a fascinating observatory has been built in the mountains, which is well worth a visit.
Even the Russian imperial family was impressed by the unique landscape and had a summer palace built here.
If we are lucky enough to have clear air at the pass, we can see the entire mountain range of the Greater Caucasus from there and enjoy the view to the full.
